Residential Resilience Pilot Agreement

Application is not acceptance. A property joins the pilot only after SASNA confirms eligibility, scope, scheduling and a property-specific written authorization. This online acknowledgment records the applicant’s understanding but does not schedule entry to a property.

Founding-pilot price

For the first ten properties expressly selected by SASNA, the founding pilot assessment fee is waived. No equipment, laboratory testing, permit, engineering work, contractor work, monitoring subscription or remediation is included. Any later paid service requires a separate written scope and price accepted by the homeowner.

Limited scope

The pilot may include address research, an owner interview, a limited visual and non-invasive walkthrough of safely accessible areas, authorized photographs, resilience observations, an evidence register, prioritized planning recommendations and broad nonbinding cost bands.

Excluded activities

SASNA will not open electrical panels, operate unsafe equipment, enter confined or hazardous areas, walk unsafe roofs, disturb materials, perform destructive or laboratory testing, diagnose concealed conditions, certify code compliance, determine insurability, provide an engineering opinion or perform construction.

Permission and site conditions

The participant represents that they own the property or have the owner’s authority. An adult with authority must be present unless agreed otherwise. The participant must disclose known hazards, animals, restricted areas and unsafe conditions. SASNA may stop or limit a walkthrough whenever conditions are unsafe or outside scope.

Evidence and uncertainty

Findings are labeled by source, such as observed, measured, owner-reported, document-supported or unknown. Absence from a report does not mean a hazard or defect does not exist. Conditions can change after the visit.

Deliverable and corrections

SASNA aims to provide a beta planning report after the walkthrough. The participant should report factual errors promptly. Any implementation decision requires appropriate verification and, where applicable, licensed professional review, permits and contractor pricing.

Photographs and privacy

Photographs are optional until separately authorized and are used for the participant’s assessment, quality control and product improvement. SASNA will not use identifiable interior photographs in public marketing without separate written permission.

Insurance and legal review

This pilot template does not waive duties that cannot lawfully be waived. A property-specific agreement may contain additional terms. SASNA recommends independent legal review before broad paid deployment.
